Drive procurement performance at scale. Turn data into impact as Category Controller NonTrade at Intersnack. Own forecasting, challenge assumptions, and shape smarter decisions across Europe.

Job description

We are missing a special ingredient. Could it be you?

Are you a controller driven by data who enjoys bringing structure to complex procurement performance? Then this is your chance to make a real impact within Intersnack Procurement. As a Category Controller NonTrade, you are the financial backbone of our procurement organisation. You ensure that forecasting, budgeting, and initiative tracking for Procurement run in a structured and reliable way across the Intersnack Group. With your analytical mindset and strong sense of governance, you turn financial insights into clarity and help stakeholders make better decisions.

Your BIG challenge as our Category Controller NonTrade

You ensure that procurement performance becomes transparent, measurable, and actionable. You coordinate key financial processes such as forecasting, budgeting, and initiative tracking while working closely with Category Managers across the organisation. Your role goes beyond reporting numbers: you review procurement initiatives, assess savings and risks, and ensure financial data is accurate and reliable. By connecting stakeholders, financial insights, and procurement strategy, you help the organisation make better, fact-based decisions.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate the procurement controlling cycles like Forecast (FC1/FC2), Budget, and Mid-Term Planning,  ensuring structured execution and reliable reporting

  • Collect, validate, and challenge price indications, forecast assumptions, and procurement initiatives across food and non-food categories

  • Run the monthly initiative approval process and ensure approved initiatives are correctly reflected in reporting and savings tracking

  • Prepare procurement controlling reports for Management Units, Group Controlling, and senior procurement stakeholders

  • Act as a sparring partner for Category Managers, Procurement Leadership, and Management Unit stakeholders

Job requirements

We are entrepreneurial industry leaders, what should be your qualities?

You combine a strong financial mindset with the ability to work with both data and people. You are comfortable in a role with high visibility, where you interact with stakeholders across procurement and finance. You are structured, analytical, and confident enough to challenge assumptions when needed. At the same time, you understand that numbers alone are not enough, it’s about understanding the business context behind them.

Besides enjoying working in a multicultural environment, we ask:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field

  • Around 3–5 years of experience in finance, controlling, or financial analysis

  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, or financial reporting processes

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into insights

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)

We ask a lot, but offer you even more!

First of all, a huge chance to really make a difference. With over 30 nationalities we can truly say we are multicultural. We offer a great working environment with many driven and entrepreneurial colleagues who are open for collaboration. We are a strong and healthy company and that means that there is always room to support good and sustainable ideas. Our locations and workplaces are modern and facilitate pleasant working conditions. Working from home and flexible working hours are possible in agreement with your team. We believe in giving back and making sure you're happy and thriving.

Additional to all the above, this role comes with:

  • A truly impactful role with room to create positive change.

  • Competitive salary based on your experience and skills.

  • Attractive annual bonus scheme with strong performance history.

  • Annual salary review.

  • Company phone for private use.

  • Access to personal and professional development opportunities.

  • An attractive benefits package like corporate discounts, pension contribution (we pay 2/3rd of the contribution), travel and work from home allowance and others

Intersnack: an international player with an excellent reputation
The Intersnack Group is Europe’s leading savoury snack manufacturer. In 2024, we generated over €4.5 billion in net sales, employing more than 15,000 people worldwide. Intersnack Procurement manages the procurement of services, raw materials and products for manufacturing activities across the Intersnack Group. We manage an annual spend of around €3 billion. From our locations in Zevenaar (NL), Düsseldorf (DE), and Slough (UK), we manage the entire purchasing portfolio of the Intersnack Group. Intersnack Procurement sources from across the world through a large and diverse system of supply chains. In procuring these products and services, our company touches the lives of many farmers, workers, suppliers, processors and local communities.

Given the size and complexity of this network, we recognize not only the potential for social, human rights and environmental risks to occur, but also our responsibility to protect against them. To achieve this, we focus our efforts on responsible sourcing, supplier development and origin and sector development. By engaging on these three levels, we aim to both drive compliance and contribute to impact and continuous improvement.

You've probably enjoyed some of our products; we produce savoury snacks and crunchy popcorn as well as nutritious nuts and creamy peanut butter. We produce, package and sell these products under brand names such as Chio, POM-BÄR Tyrrell’s, Whole Earth and KP, but also under private labels for retailers. We also supply semi-finished products to the food industry.

We are not listed on the stock exchange, which means that we can be very entrepreneurial and can develop a long-term strategy. We are a large European leader in our industry, yet remain entrepreneurial, flexible and personal. That is also part of what makes us Intersnack; the atmosphere is pleasant, everyone knows each other, communication lines are short and you get a lot of responsibility. So it is not surprising that long employments and interesting career paths are a rule, rather than an exception. Our official language is English, in line with our very international character.

Please upload your application documents in English only!

For non-EU applicants, a valid work and residence permit is a prerequisite for this role.

Acquisition in response to this vacancy is not necessary; we prefer to engage directly with interested candidates.
