Do you have passion for being the spider in the web, representing our company towards suppliers in one of our biggest Capex projects in the UK? Do you possess an entrepreneurial spirit and are you eager to learn and grow together with your team? Then you might be the Category Manager Capex & MRO we are looking for!

Being privately owned, we can operate our business with a long-term view and commit ourselves to a more sustainable world. In Dusseldorf, Zevenaar and Slough we manage the procurement portfolio for the entire Intersnack Group. Big enough for you?

You prefer to play this game in a stable, collegial, and very international team, and for a financially healthy organization where we always look at today's challenges with tomorrow and the day after in mind.

Your BIG challenge as our Category Manager Capex & MRO

This is a highly visible role within our Intersnack Procurement team, working closely with the production sites and CAPEX suppliers. As Category Manager Capex & MRO, you will be responsible for buying capital equipment, building, infrastructure and services, from manufacturers across the globe at the best conditions possible. You will be permanently in contact with our CAPEX suppliers and other sources of market intelligence to offer competitive propositions to our customers, the factories of the Intersnack Group.

In this role, you will drive cost savings, identify and mitigate risks, and execute category strategy plans while acting as a key liaison between Procurement and local Engineering and Production teams. You will also take ownership of tactical and strategic sourcing for your assigned category scope, supporting commercial negotiations and supplier management.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing and managing relationships with both new and existing Capex & MRO service providers.

  • Aligning category strategy with local and international Engineering and Production needs.

  • Providing analytical insights on complex logistics databases to support strategy development and compliance tracking.

  • Ensuring supply security and handling special requisitions, particularly in response to local requirements.

  • Promote and manage a robust supplier base to secure Procurement targets for compliance and reporting, while ensuring sustainable and efficient Engineering projects.

As the global expert within the Capex & MRO team, you will also act as a strategic advisor, fostering close collaboration with key stakeholders across Intersnack Procurement and ensuring alignment with group objectives. You will report to the Senior Category Manager Capex & MRO and will ideally be based in Zevenaar (NL).

Intersnack: an international player with an excellent reputation
The Intersnack Group is Europe’s leading savoury snack manufacturer. Intersnack Procurement BV manages the procurement of services, raw materials and products for manufacturing activities across the Intersnack Group. From our locations in Zevenaar (NL), Düsseldorf/Cologne (DE), and Slough (UK), we manage the entire purchasing portfolio of the Intersnack Group. Intersnack Procurement sources from across the world through a large and diverse system of supply chains. In procuring these products and services, our company touches the lives of many farmers, workers, suppliers, processors and local communities. Given the size and complexity of this network, we recognize not only the potential for social, human rights and environmental risks to occur, but also our responsibility to protect against them. To achieve this, we focus our efforts on responsible sourcing, supplier development and origin and sector development. By engaging on these three levels, we aim to both drive compliance and contribute to impact and continuous improvement.

You've probably enjoyed some of our products; we produce savory snacks and crunchy popcorn as well as nutritious nuts and creamy peanut butter. We produce, package and sell these products under brand names such as Chio, POM-BÄR Tyrrell’s and KP, but also under private labels for retailers. We also supply semi-finished products to the food industry.

We are not listed on the stock exchange, which means that we can be very entrepreneurial and can develop a long term strategy. We are a large European leader in our industry, yet remain entrepreneurial, flexible and personal. That is also part of what makes us Intersnack; the atmosphere is pleasant, everyone knows each other, communication lines are short and you get a lot of responsibility. So it is not surprising that long employments and interesting career paths are a rule, rather than an exception. Our official language is English, in line with our very international character.

Please upload your application documents in English only!
For non-EU applicants, a valid work and residence permit is a prerequisite for this role.

Acquisition in response to this vacancy is not necessary; we prefer to engage directly with interested candidates.
