Job description
Are you ready for a BIG challenge in Procurement Business Controlling?
We are seeking a passionate Head of Business Control who plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial and operational performance of our procurement function. This role, based in Zevenaar, involves leading a team of Category Controllers and providing strategic business partnering to Category Management Teams to optimize costs and efficiency.
Strong business partnering with Head of Categories and respective Category Managers is essential to ensure a cost-driven and efficient approach. Ideally, you bring cross-functional expertise and deep knowledge of Procurement Controlling, effectively navigating conflicts with Management Units (MUs) regarding cost reduction, cost avoidance and cash impact.
As an ambassador for Procurement’s financial contributions, this individual will drive alignment and ensure the MUs recognise the value Procurement delivers. You report directly to the Procurement Finance Director and will act as his right-hand person. Also, you are someone who naturally connects with operational Category Controllers and enjoys taking on category controlling tasks yourself to stay close to the content and bring added value.

Intersnack: an international player with an excellent reputation
The Intersnack Group is Europe’s leading savoury snack manufacturer. In 2024, we generated over €4.5 billion in net sales, employing more than 15,000 people worldwide. Intersnack Procurement manages the procurement of services, raw materials and products for manufacturing activities across the Intersnack Group. We manage an annual spend of around €3 billion. From our locations in Zevenaar (NL), Düsseldorf (DE), and Slough (UK), we manage the entire purchasing portfolio of the Intersnack Group. Intersnack Procurement sources from across the world through a large and diverse system of supply chains. In procuring these products and services, our company touches the lives of many farmers, workers, suppliers, processors and local communities. Given the size and complexity of this network, we recognize not only the potential for social, human rights and environmental risks to occur, but also our responsibility to protect against them. To achieve this, we focus our efforts on responsible sourcing, supplier development and origin and sector development. By engaging on these three levels, we aim to both drive compliance and contribute to impact and continuous improvement.
You've probably enjoyed some of our products; we produce savoury snacks and crunchy popcorn as well as nutritious nuts and creamy peanut butter. We produce, package and sell these products under brand names such as Chio, POM-BÄR Tyrrell’s, Whole Earth and KP, but also under private labels for retailers. We also supply semi-finished products to the food industry.
We are not listed on the stock exchange, which means that we can be very entrepreneurial and can develop a long-term strategy. We are a large European leader in our industry, yet remain entrepreneurial, flexible and personal. That is also part of what makes us Intersnack; the atmosphere is pleasant, everyone knows each other, communication lines are short and you get a lot of responsibility. So it is not surprising that long employments and interesting career paths are a rule, rather than an exception. Our official language is English, in line with our very international character.
