We are recruiting for a


Supplier Quality Assurance Manager Nuts

For a European market leader you will be managing one or more nuts raw material categories from a quality, food safety and technical point of view. You will also be responsible for the approval and management of the suppliers’ processing sites in these categories. Interesting fact about this role is that you will get the opportunity to become the expert in your category. And as such, you will be able to help your suppliers and make them even better than they already are. Reporting to the Team Manager Supplier Quality Assurance Nuts, you’ll ensure that all raw materials comply with legal, customer and company requirements and actions are taken towards suppliers and internal stakeholders in case of any non-conformance. As the jobholder works closely within a network of suppliers, procurement managers, factory quality managers and other internal stakeholders, relationship management skills and business acumen are crucial. This is what you will be responsible for:

  • Supplier assessment and management according to Intersnack Group and Procurement procedures. To ensure compliance, regular supplier quality audits and technical visits and supplier development based on performance measures are key;
  • Support that materials are delivered to the Intersnack factories within agreed quality, food safety and technical specifications, leading root cause analysis initiatives when these are not met;
  • Manage relationships with Intersnack factories / Operating Companies (OpCos). Handle and resolve quality and food safety issues and complaints and give feedback to OpCos, aiming to reduce raw materials quality complaint levels;
  • Provide the business with overviews of suppliers’ capabilities and areas of improvement.
  • Identify and (jointly) implement potential initiatives for improvement that could result in competitive advantage for suppliers as well as Intersnack. These can be improvements of product quality or process improvements;
  • Manage all Supplier Quality Assurance systems and the data therein, ensuring information and documents stay up-to-date.


Job requirements

Besides the above, we ask:

  • Bachelor / Master of Science degree in a science-based field (e.g. Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety, Food Quality Management);
  • 3-7 years experience in Supplier Quality Assurance, Quality Management or similar, in the FMCG and/or food industry;
  • Knowledge of Quality management systems and GFSI schemes (BRC/IFS/FSSC);
  • Preferably qualified auditor or proven experience in quality auditing;
  • Fluency in English and Spanish. Knowledge of other languages is advantageous;
  • Attention to detail, good planning, time management, conflict management and communicative skills;
  • Proactive, self-motivated, problem solver capable to work in a multicultural environment;
  • Valid driving license and willigness to travel outside of Europe once or twice a year.
