Job description
We are missing a special ingredient. Could it be you?
Can you translate financial data into real sustainability impact? At Intersnack Procurement, we are integrating carbon and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) insights directly into our procurement finance processes. We’re looking for someone who can connect financial information with carbon data, helping us understand how purchasing decisions influence our environmental footprint. In this role, you will maintain supplier emission data, understanding CO₂ impact on financial outcomes, and strengthen the way sustainability is embedded in procurement reporting. Your insights will help guide smarter decisions that balance business performance with climate ambitions.
Your BIG challenge as our Sustainability Controller
In this role, you will connect procurement data with sustainability by translating carbon data into insights that support smarter business decisions. You will take ownership of procurement-related carbon reporting and ensure that sustainability data becomes a reliable part of our financial and procurement processes. Working closely with procurement, finance, and sustainability teams, you help ensure that ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) data is accurate, consistent, and decision-relevant. Your work will support regulatory reporting while helping the organisation better understand the environmental impact of procurement choices.
Your key responsibilities include:
Collect, analyse, and monitor supplier carbon data within the SBTi target scope, ensuring accuracy and improving data granularity.
Be aware of internal and external ESG reporting requirements - planning & co-ordinating responses as appropriate
Validate sustainability and carbon-related data, assumptions, and methodologies to ensure reliable reporting.
Manage emission factors and evaluate sustainability initiatives by linking CO₂ impact with financial data.
Lead the development and continuous improvement of carbon reporting.
Strengthen ESG data governance by improving documentation, reporting processes, and data quality controls.
Act as the link between Procurement, Finance, Sustainability teams, and external partners, supporting ESG reporting and identifying improvement opportunities.
Job requirements

You take ownership, stay adaptable in a changing regulatory landscape, and continuously look for smarter ways to improve how we work.

Intersnack: an international player with an excellent reputation
The Intersnack Group is Europe’s leading savoury snack manufacturer. In 2024, we generated over €4.5 billion in net sales, employing more than 15,000 people worldwide. Intersnack Procurement manages the procurement of services, raw materials and products for manufacturing activities across the Intersnack Group. We manage an annual spend of around €3 billion. From our locations in Zevenaar (NL), Düsseldorf (DE), and Slough (UK), we manage the entire purchasing portfolio of the Intersnack Group. Intersnack Procurement sources from across the world through a large and diverse system of supply chains. In procuring these products and services, our company touches the lives of many farmers, workers, suppliers, processors and local communities.
Given the size and complexity of this network, we recognize not only the potential for social, human rights and environmental risks to occur, but also our responsibility to protect against them. To achieve this, we focus our efforts on responsible sourcing, supplier development and origin and sector development. By engaging on these three levels, we aim to both drive compliance and contribute to impact and continuous improvement.
You've probably enjoyed some of our products; we produce savoury snacks and crunchy popcorn as well as nutritious nuts and creamy peanut butter. We produce, package and sell these products under brand names such as Chio, POM-BÄR Tyrrell’s, Whole Earth and KP, but also under private labels for retailers. We also supply semi-finished products to the food industry.
We are not listed on the stock exchange, which means that we can be very entrepreneurial and can develop a long-term strategy. We are a large European leader in our industry, yet remain entrepreneurial, flexible and personal. That is also part of what makes us Intersnack; the atmosphere is pleasant, everyone knows each other, communication lines are short and you get a lot of responsibility. So it is not surprising that long employments and interesting career paths are a rule, rather than an exception. Our official language is English, in line with our very international character.
